OTHER ROOF SERVICES

As well as removing moss and roof cleaning, Coppertop offer other roof and gutter services;

FITTING OF EAVE TRAYS

Eave rigid support trays are fitted to prevent roof leakage and damage caused by the rotting of roofing membrane or felt.

Water, rather than running directly into gutters, will penetrate the fabric of the roof – eave support trays prevent this by providing a solid barrier, providing protection against the elements.

Process

Step 1. Assess condition of roof where eave trays are to be fitted

Step 2. Remove any bottom rows of rotten battens and remove any rotted membrane or felt

Step 3. Replace membrane and add new battens where required

Step 4. Fit eave trays under the membrane, securing to bottom of roof, positioning inside the gutter

MINOR ROOF REPAIRS

  • Removal and replacing of broken ridge tiles
  • Removal and replacing of broken or cracked roof tiles – slate, concrete, pan tiles etc
  • Removal and replacing guttering

SOLAR PANEL BIRD PROOFING

Coppertop Roofing Solutions also offers the installation of bird proofing on domestic and commercial solar panels to deter birds from nesting under the panels. The underside cavity between the solar panel and the roofing material is a perfect location for feral pigeons to build nests and raise young. Depending on the amount of solar panels, you could have over 30-40 birds roosting, nesting on your roof top.

If you do have this problem, you will know how noisy, smelly and messy these birds are. The guttering is usually blocked from the bird droppings, dead birds, nesting material which over time also causes rusting of the guttering and worse flooding during heavy downpours of rain.

Bird mites and the potential for ill health effects also accompany these birds when they nest in large numbers on your roof top.

Our solar panel kit allows for easy installation of the powder coated wire mesh to deter bird entry without modification or damage to the solar panels which could void your panel warranty. The kit can be removed if necessary to carry out repairs or servicing to the panel array. Anything less than a good strong product will allow these pest birds to push their way back under the solar panels and your problems will start all over again.
